New Year’s 2010 “A magical retreat filled with laughter, relaxation, romance and celebration. You’ve thought of everything to make this the perfect place to call home for a few days. The lakeside trail is a beautiful walk into town. Candlelight soaks with wine and the snow falling outside the window is the ultimate delight. Thank you so much. We are very grateful to experience this incredible space. We will return.” Jan 01, 2010, Jen & Kirk, Kamloops BC |
“Maybe it’s just being so close to nature, the lake & trees. After we’d unpacked and settled down, just soaking up the atmosphere, when we noticed the profound silence that wrapped itself around us and just healed and restored. We’ve been so at home here – your hospitality? “n’est plus ultra!” We felt like honoured friends, not customers! The wheelchair access was great. I didn’t have to worry about anything. HOW THE CABINS WERE BUILT The cabins were built from trees harvested from the property: fir, cedar and birch. Rafters, beams, framing material, roof decking, wainscoting, trim, kitchen cabinets, tables and headboards were all made by local craftsmen using our own wood. |
